I normally live in Anita 5490 38H, but I gave this bra a try when it was on sale.
The Band:
Compared to Fantasie and Freya, the band is 2" wider, so you have less back flab bulging out. This bra would be excellent for someone who's ribcage is smaller at the bottom of the band than at the top (a.k.a. NOT short-waisted). On my 5'5" frame, it was noticeable but not a large issue. The band is also 2.25" longer than my Anita bras, so you may want to order one band size smaller (if you do, remember to size the cup up twice (i.e. 38FF to 36GG), since there is a 1 cm difference between UK cup sizes and 2.54in = 1cm).

- This is one of the few bras I've tried that doesn't hurt my back after a few hours wear.
- Try it if you have large chest and a defined waist.
- Order one band size down (and two cup sizes up) from your normal size.
- Fit Note: If you are short-waisted, I read Elomi Spacer bra wears well.

*Quality control: Some bras of the same tag size came with different lengths and underwire sizes. Compare to old bras before taking the tags off! I believe 3/24 were different over the course of 5 yrs.

I've been large chested about a week after puberty started. I've spent years with my shoulders slumped forward and have permanent shoulder indentations because of ill-fitting bras. I had to start seeing a chiropractor because of the back pain. It was only when I had a proper fitting when I met up with this bra. It took some time getting over the fact it's a maternity bra, but it's totally worth not experiencing neck and back pain. I've tried searching for inexpensive bras since but none have given me the support and all-day comfort that these bras have.
**Important** The microfiber in these bras will not retain their support if washed in regular detergent (even Woolite). You need to hand-wash with a lingerie detergent. I use Forever New - Variance granules (dye- and fragrance-free version). It can keep a bra feeling like new for about 30 washings. Just don't wring them out too hard.

*tricky to get on - there is a lighter/thinner fabric around the tummy and booty areas that must be lined up, and it's tight when pulling over your thighs.

Summary: This is the first shapewear I've worn that I'm happy with. Many brands use overall compression to smush my curves into a cylinder. I need tummy control and booty lift while keeping my waist smaller. I also need it to stay up without covering my 38FF chest. This is the first shapewear that does all those things and yet remains comfortable enough to breathe, dance all night in, and walk a mile home. BUY THIS!

Does this bra have side boning?
I'm very short waisted, and strapless bras always seem to have small pieces of boning on the sides -which are horribly uncomfortable for me as they poke into my body painfully... and I can't tell in any of the pictures if this bra has this or not.
I'm also short-waisted and have the same problem with side boning. Thankfully, this bra does not have them. There's a seam where they would normally go, but it's all pliable fabric.
Also, the band seems wider than other strapless bras, which works to my advantage.
